#599 苺館 (Sapporo)

札幌軟石のこぢんまりとした石蔵カフェ。
エントランスのいちごのオブジェが目に留まる。
軟石がほどよく音を吸収してくれるようで、店内にはクラシックがかかっているが、安らかな静寂を感じる。

柱時計の振り子の音も輪郭は明晰にしてよく調和している。
石壁と木のカウンターと頭上の照明がよく調和している。
「すべてが個別にして調和しているのか。」
ぼんやりとこのフレーズが思いついた。

マイルドブレンドと、りんごとシナモンのタルトを注文する。
タルトは少し好みの味わいではなかったが。。。
しばらくぼんやりとしていた。
二人連れのマダムがやってくる。
店主とは馴染みなのか。
エルガーの話で盛り上がっているが、残念ながらボクはエルガーを知らなかった。
後で調べてみたら威風堂々を書いた音楽家。
なんだ。

北12条駅近く。北大の傍。もう40年以上やってる。
ということは学生の頃にはすでにあったわけだが、まったく知らなかった。
クラシック好きが集まる喫茶店でした。

The strawberry object at the entrance catches your eye.
The soft stone seems to absorb the sound moderately, and the interior of the store is classical music, but you can feel the peaceful silence.

The pendulum sound of the wall clock also has a clear outline and is well harmonized.
The stone walls, wooden counters and overhead lighting are in perfect harmony.

I vaguely came up with this phrase.

Order the mild blend and the apple and cinnamon tart.
The tart wasn’t to my liking. . .
I was in a daze for a while.

There is a lot of excitement about Elgar, but unfortunately I didn’t know who Elgar was.
I looked it up later and found out that he was a musician who wrote Pomp and Circumstances.
I got it.

Near Kita 12-jo station. Near Hokkaido University. I’ve been doing this for over 40 years.
That means that it was already there when I was a student, but I didn’t know it at all.
It was a coffee shop where classic lovers gathered.
