#595 魁陽亭越治 (Otaru)

2年ほど前にできた小樽の文学カフェ。
前は寿司屋だったそうで、個室のこ小上がりに通された。
アンティークな書棚に文机に座椅子。そして鉄瓶の掛けられた火鉢。
大将・昭和の文学者の書斎をイメージしたようなしつらえ。しかも個室。
なんだか気持ちがいい。ちょっとその気になってきた。

注文したナポリタンを食す。やや塩っぽい。
どちらかというと期待はずれだ。
食後の珈琲もいたって普通で何の特長もない。
小樽の港町のカフェーだというから期待して来たのに。。。
こんなことなら自宅のバルコンで珈琲を片手にボオド・レエルでも読んでいればよかった。
いやなに。文学カフェに来るとなんだか自分も文学者になった気になるのだ。
文学者たるもの、安易にものごとを褒めてはダメだ。
そんなのは三流のやることだ。

なんて。小難しい文学者になった気持ちで、なんでもかんでもディスりたくなってしまいますｗｗｗ

しかし。こういうカフェいいね。札幌界隈には文学カフェって、ないよなぁ。
北海道内にも、ない気がする。東京だって、そんなに沢山はない気がする。

棚にあった高村光太郎の「美について」が目に止まった。
「光太郎」と「美」。それだけで十分に興味をそそる。
昭和16年に印刷された古書。内容も旧字体。美に関する随筆集。
その中の「美意識について」を開く。
冒頭から小気味のよい調子で美意識についての話が展開される。
なかなか面白い。
これは改めて読もうと思い、Amazonでチェックしたのだが。。。
案外高くて、買うのを躊躇してしまった。

A literary cafe in Otaru that opened about two years ago.
It seems that it used to be a sushi restaurant before, and I was passed through a private room with a raised floor.
An antique bookshelf, a writing desk and a legless chair. And a brazier with an iron kettle.
The room is designed in the image of the study of a literary figure in the Showa period. Moreover, a private room.
It feels good. I’ve been wondering about that for a while.

I ate the Neapolitan that I ordered. Somewhat salty.
Somewhat disappointing.
After-meal coffee is also very ordinary and has no special features.
I had high hopes because it was a cafe in the port town of Otaru. . .
If this were the case, I would have been better off sitting on the balcony of my house and reading Bood Reel with a cup of coffee in hand.
I don’t like it. When I come to a literary cafe, I feel like I’m a literary person.
A literary person should not praise things easily.
That’s a third-rate thing to do.

Like. I feel like I’ve become a difficult literary person, and I want to diss everything.

but. I like this kind of cafe. There are no literary cafes in the Sapporo area.
I don’t think there are any in Hokkaido. Even in Tokyo, I don’t think there are that many.

On the shelf, Kotaro Takamura’s “About Beauty” caught my eye.
“Kotaro” and “Beauty”. That alone is intriguing enough.
An old book printed in 1941. The content is also in the old font. A collection of essays on beauty.
Open “About aesthetic sense” in it.
From the beginning, the story about aesthetics develops in a pleasant tone.
Pretty interesting.
I wanted to read this again, so I checked it out on Amazon. . .
It was unexpectedly expensive and I hesitated to buy it.
