#592 北一硝子三号館北一ホール (Otaru)

小樽観光の定番。北一硝子。
その北一硝子の三号館北一ホールは、小樽観光カフェの大定番。

観光地カフェだから・・・と、これまで行ったことが無かったけど、ついに行って来ました。
167個の石油ランプが灯り、シャンデリアが天井から吊るされた店内。
荘厳な聖堂のようでもあり、クリスマスを思わせるロマンチックな空間でもあり。
人によってはハリーポッターの世界を連想する方もいるようです。

小樽の歴史的建造物に指定されている施設。
小樽軟石で建てられた倉庫の重厚さは、どこか安心感を感じますし、通路にはトロッコの線路が今も残っており、往年の小樽の様子を今に伝えます。

人気スポットなのは分かっていたので、開店と同時にいけば空いてるんじゃないかと思いましたが、開店10分ほど前に到着してもすでに20人くらいが行列しておりました。
店内のキャパは50席くらいはあると思われ十分なので、さほどの混雑感は感じませんでしたが、それにしてもスゴイ人気です。

Kitaichi Glass’s 3rd building, Kitaichi Hall, is a classic Otaru sightseeing cafe.

It’s a tourist spot cafe, so I’ve never been there before, but I finally went.
The store is lit by 167 oil lamps and a chandelier hangs from the ceiling.
It’s like a majestic cathedral, but it’s also a romantic space reminiscent of Christmas.
Some people seem to associate it with the world of Harry Potter.

The weight of the warehouse, which was built with Otaru soft stone, gives a sense of security.

I knew it was a popular spot, so I thought it would be vacant when it opened.
The store has a capacity of about 50 seats, so it didn’t feel crowded, but it’s still very popular.
