茂みに囲まれたパンカフェ。パンセ。
penseeはフランス語で「考え」「思考」「思想」
かのパスカルの死後、刊行された遺著と同名。
これをカフェの名前にしたということはそういうことなんだろう。
店内はスッキリとした造り。大きなダイニングテーブル。
引き戸を開け放てば、あたたかい季節は気持ちのよいオープンテラスになりそうだ。
伺ったのは昼前。
にも関わらず光は斜めに差し込み、心なし夕暮れを感じさせる不思議な雰囲気に。
浜風が吹き、床に映るゆれる木陰が、かつての出会いと別れを思い出させる。
ここは九十九里浜。白波と続く砂浜がノスタルジーを誘っているようだ。
パンプレートに盛られたパンとスープを食べながら、そんな感覚を感じた。
海辺の町の物静かなよいカフェです。

pensee is French for “thinking” and “thought.”
It has the same name as the posthumous book published after Pascal’s death.
That’s what it means to make this the name of the cafe.
The inside of the store is refreshing. Large dining table.
If you leave the sliding door open, it will be a pleasant open terrace during the warm season.
I visited before noon.
Despite this, the light shines diagonally, creating a mysterious atmosphere that makes you feel the dusk.
The beach breeze blows and the shade of the trees reflected on the floor reminds us of our former encounters and farewells.
This is Kujukuri Beach. It seems that the white waves and the sandy beach that continues are inviting nostalgia.
I felt that kind of feeling while eating the bread and soup on the bread plate.
It is a quiet and good cafe in a seaside town.
