高校生の頃、遠野物語を読んで気になっていた遠野。
盛岡からそう遠くなかったので、行ってきた。
人口2.6万人ほどの山あいの小さな街。
どこの街もそうかもしれないけど、駅前の人の姿はまばらで、寂しい雰囲気は致し方なし。
でもそういう心寂しさは好きだね。

2004年に旦那さんの転勤都合で宮古市から引っ越してきた女性マスターが2010年に始めたカフェ。
自身も2級建築士の資格を持ち、工務店で住宅関連の仕事をするうちに、空間づくりへの挑戦としてカフェを始めた。
店内インテリアはもともと使われていたものを直すなどして使っているとのこと。
入口横の壁の色。藍鉄色と言うべきか。渋く色でとてもいい。
木棚やランプが映える。
失礼ながら、入る前は古臭く廃れてしまった地方都市の喫茶店で、あまり注目する所もないかと思っていた。

定番的な食事をと思ったけども、伺ったのは10月。
季節メニューのモンブランパンケーキがおいしそうだったのでこちらを注文。
かなり控え目の甘さでおいしかった。
遠野のステキなカフェでした。
Tono was interested in reading Tono’s story when he was a high school student.

A cafe started in 2010 by a female master who moved from Miyako City due to her husband’s transfer in 2004.
He also has a qualification as a second-class architect, and while working on housing at a construction shop, he started a cafe as a challenge to create a space.
It is said that the interior of the store is being used by fixing what was originally used.
The color of the wall next to the entrance. Should I call it indigo? The astringent color is very nice.

I thought it was a standard meal, but I visited in October.
The Mont Blanc pancakes on the seasonal menu looked delicious, so I ordered this one.
It was delicious with a fairly modest sweetness.
It was a nice cafe in Tono.
