#489 GRAYS (Matsuyama)

松山に来た。初めての松山。
松山空港ではみかんジュース蛇口を確認。本当に実在したんだなぁ。
また、愛媛県のイメージアップキャラクター”みきゃん”が案外キャッチ－でかわいいと思った。
一六タルトはおいしいなぁと思いながら、早速松山カフェリサーチに繰り出す。

GRAYS。松山の老舗のケーキ屋さんなのだそうです。
店内はカフェというより喫茶店の雰囲気。

何百件もカフェや喫茶店に行くと感覚的に分かるようになったのだけども、いいカフェや喫茶店て、もう町の機能の一部のような存在になっていて、独特の生命感というか肉感をもっています。
そのオーラのようなものをうまく言葉で表現することができなくて困るのですが。。。
なんというか、特別なものでもなく、よそ行きの場所でもなく、多少猥雑さもあるのですが、みんな気にしない。
オシャレぶってもいなく。利用するお客さんの愛着が染みついている。
ハレの食事ではない。やっぱり普段の生活の食事です。
そして、マスターや店員さんがフランクな様子というか。

そんなオーラをグレイズさんにも感じました。
レンガのファサードからもそんな雰囲気が感じられます。

夏は紅茶のかき氷が人気のようです。
おいしそう。。。夏にも行きたいです。

I came to Matsuyama. Matsuyama for the first time.
Check the orange juice faucet at Matsuyama Airport. It really existed.
Also, I thought that Ehime Prefecture’s image-enhancing character “MICAN” was unexpectedly catchy and cute.
While thinking that ICHIROKU Tart is delicious, I immediately went to Matsuyama Cafe Research.

GRAYS.It’s a long-established cake shop in Matsuyama.
The inside of the store is more like a coffee shop than a cafe.

I’ve been to hundreds of cafes and coffee shops, so I’ve come to understand it sensuously, but in a sense, good cafes and coffee shops have become part of the function of the town, and have a unique sense of life. I have a feeling of flesh.
I’m having trouble expressing something like that aura in words. .. ..
Somehow, it’s not something special, it’s not a place to go away, and it’s a little messy, but everyone doesn’t care.
It’s not fashionable either. The attachment of the customers who use it is ingrained.
The meal is not a special meal. After all it is a meal of everyday life.
And it seems that the master and the clerk are Frank.

I felt such an aura for Gray’s here.
The brick facade speaks for its good atmosphere.

Black tea shaved ice seems to be popular in summer.
looks delicious. .. .. I want to go in the summer as well.
