#486 ここちカフェむすびの (Beppu)

湧出量日本一の別府温泉に来た。
鉄輪（かんなわ）地区をうろうろする。
無料だったり100円150円で利用できる小さな温泉入浴場がそこかしこにある。
道端から湧きたつ温泉の湯気が旅情をそそる。散歩するだけで楽しい。

そんな温泉天国にあるむすびのさんは、無料温泉「熱の湯温泉」の隣。
明治40年にできた、木造校舎を思わせるレトロな建物が期待感をぐっと高めてくれます。
築100年超え。愛称「下の家」。鉄輪地区を1世紀以上に渡って静かに見守ってきました。

店内に入るとテーブルこたつに少し驚きましたが、カウンター席からの眺めはゆったりとした雰囲気が味わえてステキです。
ランチなど食事がメインなカフェのようでしたが、伺った時は珈琲と焼き菓子をいただきました。
コロナ情勢下に加えて、12月、そして昼下がりの訪問につき客はボク一人。
普段は賑わいのある温泉街と思いますが、この時は人通りもまばらで、他にお客さんがやってくる気配もなし。
しばらくの間、カフェを独り占めさせていただきました。

The steam of the hot springs that springs from the roadside arouses your travels. It’s fun just to take a walk.

Musubi in such a hot spring paradise is next to the free hot spring “Netsunoyu Onsen”.
The retro building reminiscent of a wooden school building, which was built in 1890, raises expectations.
Over 100 years old. Nicknamed “Shimo no Ie”. I have been quietly watching the Kannawa area for over a century.

When I entered the cafe, I was a little surprised at the table kotatsu, but the view from the counter seats is wonderful because you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
It was like a cafe where meals such as lunch were the main thing, but when I visited, I had coffee and baked sweets.
In addition to the situation in Corona, I am the only guest for my visit in December and in the afternoon.
I think it’s usually a busy hot spring town, but at this time the traffic is sparse and there are no signs of other customers coming.
For a while, I monopolized the cafe.
