長崎市池島。2001年まで稼働していた日本最後の炭鉱。
端島は「軍艦島」の愛称で広く知られていますが、こちらの池島はあまり知られていません。
島全体がゴーストタウンのような雰囲気で、第二の軍艦島とも呼ばれていますが、2020年10月時点も池島には120人の方が生活されている島です。
島内唯一の食堂「かあちゃんの店」
にゃんこたちが客を出迎え、かあちゃんが切り盛りする食堂です。
建物には「長崎市設池島総合食料品小売センター」という看板が残されており、かつては市場だったことを物語っています。
伺った時はコロナ＆冬ということもあるでしょうが、他にお客さんはおらず、店内はガランとして寂しい雰囲気。
注文をお願いしたけど材料あるのか？と心配しましたが、無事に作ってもらえましたv
「意外にも」と言っては失礼ですが、特にちゃんぽんはおいしくて驚きました。
※後で長崎市内で食べたちゃんぽんよりもおいしかったです。
かあちゃん。
2010年に行かれた方のブログの写真と比べると、今回お会いしたかあちゃんは当然ながら2010年から10歳、年齢を重ねられており、ご健康を気遣っていらっしゃるようでした。
すでにご高齢なので、このお店も、そう長くないうちに閉業される時が来ると思います。
今回伺えた幸運を噛みしめ、かあちゃんのご健康を祈りたいと思います。
Ikeshima, Nagasaki City. The last coal mine in Japan that was in operation until 2001.
Hashima is widely known by the nickname of “Gunkanjima”, but Ikeshima here is not well known.
The entire island is like a ghost town and is also called the second Gunkanjima, but as of October 2020, 120 people still live in Ikeshima.
The only dining room on the island, “Mother’s Dining Room”.
Many cats welcome guests. And it is a cafeteria run by mother alone.
The building has a sign that says “Nagasaki City Ikeshima General Food Retail Center”, which tells us that it used to be a market.
Perhaps because it was winter when I visited, there were no other customers, and the inside of the store was lonely.
I placed an order, but do you have the ingredients? I was worried, but I was able to make it safely.
It’s rude to say “surprisingly”, but I was particularly surprised that Champon was delicious.
※It was more delicious than the champon I ate later in Nagasaki city.
Mother.
Compared to the photos on the blog of the person who went in 2010, the mother I met this time was naturally 10 years old from 2010, and she seemed to be concerned about her health.
She’s already old, so I think it’s time for this store to close in the not too long time.
