“その名の通り、桑の古材を使用した茶室です。
古桑庵（こそうあん）という名前は夏目漱石の長女筆子の婿である小説家の松岡譲さんがつけてくださいました。
当主の祖父で大正末期にこの家を建てた渡辺彦と松岡さんとはテニス仲間で、隠居後の楽しみにと二人で茶室造りを計画しました。
そのときに渡辺の好きな桑の古材を松岡さんが郷里長岡から調達され、茶室「古桑庵」は昭和２９年に完成しました。”(古桑庵Webサイトより）

自由が丘駅から徒歩10分ほど。
初夏のころ。縁側には蚊取り線香の香りが流れ、とてもとても気持ちのよい風情でした。
実家の縁側思い出しましたよ。こんな立派な建物ではないですが。。。（笑

あぁ、いいおうち。

ちなみに抹茶ぜんざいをいただきました。
塩こぶが渋いですね。

As its name suggest, the tea room was made of mulberry trees.
The name of Kosoan was named by Joh Matsuoka who is novel writer and first dawghter of Soseki Natsume’s husband in-law.
Watanabehiko who built the house in Tisho era and Matsuoka played the tennis toghether, and planned to build tea house after retirement.
Then mulberry trees which Watanabe loved were provided by Matsuoka from Kyorinagaoka.
After that the tea house “Kosoan” was built in 1954.

While the beginning of summer, I feel comfortable because smells like a mosquito coil hung in the air.
I remembered my parents house, it was not laxuary like this.

Oh…nice house.

Anyways, I had green tea Zenzai.
Shio-Kobu was bitter.
